5 Rhythms Dance

Five rhythms is a creative movement practice with no set steps. A moving meditation suitable to all bodies and souls that long to be free and love to dance.

The class begins with a warm-up in our own way then the teacher will guide us through a process of checking in with each of our body parts before working through the five rhythms of;

We usually dance in our bare feet and in comfortable clothing and drink plenty of water!

I have been dancing the five rhythms practice regularly for the last four years and its now a necessity for my mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health. I used to love clubbing, but don't enjoy many aspects to this now so I was so pleased to find a sae space where I can dance and release fully. I find five rhythms fun, sociable, meditative, ecstatic and a place I feel most fully 'me'.

I have introduced many friends and family to five rhythms and want to recommend it to anyone out there who loves dancing and longs to be free.

Please check out www.allicandoisdance.co.uk for further information on how 5 rhythms may relate to mental health. The cost of a class is on a sliding scale (average '4-8).
